Children from Wildcats Theatre School and Post 16 Academy are celebrating after receiving their certificates for exams taken with LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts).

Back in February over 100 of the 450 registered students took Musical Theatre and Acting exams with the school.  The younger children worked on poetry taking their Introductory examinations, whilst older children sang songs from musicals old and new as well as answering a number of theory based questions.  The exams were held at Wildcats Academy in Castle House, Stamford which is a registered private centre for LAMDA examinations.

Yet again the results were outstanding with a 100% pass rate across all subjects – 35% of children achieved the highest possible grade of ‘distinction’ whilst another 50% achieved a ‘merit’ grade.  All those who took part did a fabulous job and were incredibly proud of their results.

Caz Dolby, Owner of Wildcats said ‘The children worked incredibly hard to prepare for their LAMDA exams – they are by no means an easy exam to take and the children, aged 4-16 years  took part in months of weekly classes to prepare.  Our results are testimony to the success of our teaching methods – teaching Musical Theatre using techniques that excite, engage and motivate children to keep wanting to learn and develop further.  Our teachers also love what they teach – encouraging all children regardless of level of ability to take part and be involved.’
