If you want more from being a Wildcat - this is for you! Audition to be part of a performance team that will be working towards 3 musical theatre medleys to be performed at this iconic theatre, home of 'Phantom of the Opera'. This team will also be showcased for a number of summer events and most importantly - get to spend the day in the West End as a true West End performer. An experience of a lifetime!

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Strong Musical Theatre performers who can sparkle!  We are not necessarily looking for the most outstanding performers, more people who we can see will work hard, smile lots and get the most from this experience.

AUDITIONS: Saturday 27th April 2019, 1.30pm onwards at Stamford Arts Centre. Children will be asked to prepare one LAMDA song from Grade 1-5 from our website using our online tracks. This does NOT have to be their LAMDA song that they chose for their exam. Remember for this audition this is NOT a LAMDA exam therefore we expect to see this performed in any way they feel suitable for the audition.

Children are also asked to prepare one simple dance/musical theatre routine, using the clip below from What I was Born to Do - Bring it On Musical (see bottom of page for track).

REHEARSAL SCHEDULE:  Monday 12th August - Friday 16th August, Stamford Arts Centre Ballroom. 10am - 4pm with wrap around breakfast and late club available for a small supplement to cover costs.

ADDITIONAL REHEARSALS: There are two additional 3 hour rehearsals, either on a Saturday PM or Sunday one during September and then one the week before the show.

SHOW FEE:  A show fee applies but there is no minimum ticket obligation for the actual show in London as with previous shows. Transport, costume, show t shirt and all rehearsals are included in the show fee.  Parents do NOT have to attend the show in London. All children travel down to London together, but can choose to go home on the train with parents if they wish after the show.  The cost is £185 per child.

Show fee covers the following:

  • 5 x 6 hour day full rehearsals plus 2 x 3 hour additional rehearsals totalling 36 hours of teaching plus the show day itself.
  • Coach on Sunday 13th October to and from Her Majesty's Theatre
  • A show t shirt
  • All costume items with the exception of any personal items such as tights, jazz shoes, dance shorts (if needed under skirts).

The only additional cost is if you require breakfast club from 8.15am, or late care until 5.15pm. These are charged at £2.50 per individual session to cover costs.  Just pay for what you need. All children need to own a standard Wildcats black and grey varsity jacket (part of the class uniform which they will wear to and from the theatre).

Payment is made in full OR instalments depending on your preference by BACS ONLY. Info will be given if successful at audition. Instalments can be paid over April, May, June, July, August as long as the balance is paid by the start of the week of rehearsals.
