SHAKESPEARE SCHOOLS FESTIVAL PROJECT 2019

Welcome to our Shakespeare Schools Project - new for 2019!

Love acting? Want to get involved in something a little different? Then our Shakespeare Schools Festival project is for you!

Starting at the beginning of June and meeting every Thursday evening at Stamford Arts Centre children will get to experience being part of a 30 minute Shakespeare performance which is performed in house (at the Arts Centre) and also at The Key Theatre Peterborough as part of the wider Shakespeare Schools Festival 2019.

The in house performance will be around an hour long and include extra performance pieces too. Want to know more?

Rehearsal Dates: Thursdays, 5.30pm - 7pm at Stamford Arts Centre from Thursday 6th June - Thursday 16th July, Thursday 12th September - Thursday 31st October (last rehearsal will be from 5pm - 8pm).

Age Range: 7-13 years

External Workshop Date: - Between 23rd - 26th Sept (half day) at The Key Theatre

Home venue performance in the Stamford Arts Centre Ballroom - Tuesday 29th October, 6pm.

Schools Festival performance at The Key Theatre: Between 4th - 7th November (Two half days off school are required for this project and permission is needed from the performers school nearer the time. We provide all the paperwork you need including applying for the performance licence).

Cost: £135 per child for the full project including: SSF entry fee, t shirt, script packs and rehearsals.  Children will need to make their own way to the Key Theatre Peterborough for both the 1/2 day workshop and the performance event.

Want to register your interest?  We have only 30 places (maximum) for this project and will be allocating on a first come first served basis to allow all children, regardless of level of ability to be part of this fantastic new project.
